The Water Closet "Thomas Crapper"
The Water Closet

Thomas Crapper

A plumber from London, you may have heard that Thomas Crapper was the one who really invented the toilet, this is actually false. Think of Crapper as the person who marketed the toilet, he is the one who publicized it to be what it is today.

Crapper received several Royal Warrants for his exceptional quality of work. Royal Warrants are awarded by the British Royal Family and allow suppliers to advertise that they serve the Royal Family, which is a great honor.

Did you know?

The term "crapper (which is another word for toilet)" or the word "crap" is taken from Thomas Crapper's name.
